Tessera Oval Teak Slat Outdoor Dining Table | Modern Patio Table with White Powder-Coated Aluminium Frame - EKAR FURNITURE
An outdoor dining table is the piece that carries a terrace, and the Tessera Oval Teak Slat Outdoor Dining Table by EKAR FURNITURE is built to carry it with ease. It is a long, softly rounded oval top built from a series of parallel light teak slats, the slats set into a clean white powder-coated aluminium rim that runs around the whole edge of the top, and the whole piece standing on four white cylindrical aluminium legs. The result is a table that reads as warm and inviting from a distance, because of the natural teak, and as composed and durable up close, because of the powder-coated aluminium frame. It is a table that wants to be sat around for a long dinner, and that holds up to the weather season after season. We shape this table as a bespoke custom furniture piece in our Foshan furniture factory, built for clients who want an outdoor table that feels collected rather than generic.
The teak slat top is the defining feature of the Tessera. The surface is made up of a series of parallel teak boards, each one a warm, light natural tone, laid side by side with a small, even gap between them, so the top reads as a fine, even rhythm rather than one flat slab of wood. The gaps between the slats also mean the surface drains well after rain, so the top stays clear and dry without water pooling on it, and the teak itself is a natural, weather-resistant wood that holds its tone through the seasons. The oval plan of the table keeps the seating arrangement open and unhurried, with no hard corners at the head or the foot of the table, and it makes it easy for a person to move around the room or pass a dish without bumping a sharp edge. The white powder-coated aluminium rim that frames the slats keeps the edge of the top crisp and clean, so the natural warmth of the teak is held by a calm, composed line.
The white powder-coated aluminium frame is the structural and visual core of the table. The four legs are wide, cylindrical columns of aluminium, painted in a clean white powder coat, so they read as calm and composed rather than thin or delicate, and the powder-coat finish keeps the frame protected against the outdoor elements, so the legs hold their white tone through the seasons without rusting or fading. The legs are set slightly inboard of the four corners of the oval, so the table keeps an open, light stance underneath, and the whole frame is joined to the rim of the top with a clean, continuous line, so the table reads as one composed element rather than a top bolted to a base. As an export furniture standard, the aluminium frame is joined, coated, and finished in-house to hold its tone through daily use.
In the room, the Tessera works as a proper outdoor dining table on a terrace, a pool deck, or a garden patio, where it hosts a long dinner or a relaxed breakfast in the sun. The warm teak top pairs naturally with woven rope or rattan chairs, light linen textiles, and soft, neutral palettes, and the white aluminium frame keeps the table feeling light and modern rather than heavy. The oval plan makes the table easy to seat a group around, and its soft, rounded ends keep the piece feeling open and unhurried. Demand for this kind of design-led outdoor dining table is strong in the India import furniture market, where importers in Mumbai and New Delhi look for modern, comfortable, and durable outdoor tables for luxury villas, resort patios, and boutique hospitality settings, where the table needs to hold up to the weather and still look composed.
Choosing EKAR means working with a high-end furniture customization factory that treats an outdoor dining table as a serious piece of furniture rather than a seasonal add-on. The teak slats are cut and laid with even gaps, the oval rim is formed to keep the line continuous, the four cylindrical legs are joined and powder-coated in-house, and the whole table is checked for finish and sturdiness before it is prepared for international shipping. This is the standard of our Foshan custom furniture factory, where each table is built, checked, and packed for the rigours of outdoor use. Whether it lands on a terrace in London, a pool deck in Dubai, or the garden of a Mumbai villa, the Tessera Oval Teak Slat Outdoor Dining Table brings a warm, composed, and durable piece of outdoor dining into the space.
